Kearney High School students will get a rare firsthand look at the judicial process from inside their school when the Nebraska Supreme Court convenes a special Law Day session in the Kearney High auditorium on Tuesday, April 29, 2025. This marks the first time the Court has held arguments at Kearney High, an event made possible through the invitation of Principal Jeff Ganz.

The visit underscores the Court’s commitment to civics education and public engagement, a mission supported by the Nebraska State Bar Foundation.

Nebraska Chief Justice Jeffrey Funke will sign a proclamation recognizing Nebraska Problem-Solving Court Month during a ceremony in the Supreme Court courtroom at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 30, 2025.

While May is nationally recognized as Drug Court Month, Nebraska’s diverse problem-solving court programs warrant a broader celebration. The Chief Justice’s proclamation will highlight the contributions of these courts and encourage awareness, particularly within the legal community.

Nebraska’s trial court staff were recognized for their dedication to public service during Nebraska Trial Court Week, celebrated March 17-21, 2025. The weeklong tribute acknowledges these professionals' essential role in ensuring the fair and efficient administration of justice.

McGraw excels in her role, demonstrating outstanding patience and understanding as she trains and guides emerging probation officers. She builds solid relationships with her trainees, listening and providing honest and direct feedback regularly.

Swanson's nearly 17-year tenure with the District two office has seen her through many changes in support staff positions. As a support staff trainer for adult intake, she has created detailed processes and worked one-on-one to successfully train new staff.

The investiture ceremony for Judge Jason M. Bergevin as a Justice of the Nebraska Supreme Court, representing Appellate Court Judicial District 5, took place on February 14, 2025, in the Warner Chamber of the Nebraska State Capitol.
