Nebraska Supreme Court to Hold Court Session at Kearney High School
Kearney High School students will get a rare firsthand look at the judicial process from inside their school when the Nebraska Supreme Court convenes a special Law Day session in the Kearney High auditorium on Tuesday, April 29, 2025. This marks the first time the Court has held arguments at Kearney High, an event made possible through the invitation of Principal Jeff Ganz.
The visit underscores the Court’s commitment to civics education and public engagement, a mission supported by the Nebraska State Bar Foundation.
Nebraska Problem-Solving Court Month Proclamation Set for April 30
Nebraska Chief Justice Jeffrey Funke will sign a proclamation recognizing Nebraska Problem-Solving Court Month during a ceremony in the Supreme Court courtroom at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 30, 2025.
While May is nationally recognized as Drug Court Month, Nebraska’s diverse problem-solving court programs warrant a broader celebration. The Chief Justice’s proclamation will highlight the contributions of these courts and encourage awareness, particularly within the legal community.
