Judicial Branch Inclement Weather Policy
In inclement weather, employees should use their best judgment in trying to get to work. If an employee chooses not to report to work, the employee must follow the policy of their particular office for reporting an absence.
Employees choosing not to work due to weather conditions must use accrued vacation leave, earned compensatory time, or, with supervisor approval, may be allowed to make up missed work time within the workweek.

Everyday Heroes: Sperling Honored
Karen Sperling, formerly Holt County District Court’s Deputy, was always the go-to for answers – recalling names and case numbers off the top of her head, but still checking to confirm. She was thorough, punctual, and expedient – with a robust knowledge of all things in the district court office. Sperling left very big shoes to fill!
Thank you to Karen - for your many years of dedicated service to the Holt County District Court!
Veterans Day Greetings from the Douglas County Veterans Treatment Court Team
On behalf of Douglas County Veterans Treatment Court, we stand by our veterans and would like to acknowledge the selfless service of our nation's veterans and their families.
We know that each veteran has a unique story and that their military service has shaped them in profound ways, but they are not the sum total of their time served.
Take time to get to get to know a veteran. They have a lot of lessons to share.
Today we celebrate United States Veterans, past and present.
Thank you for your service.
