Proceedings below: The district court found Appellant in contempt of court and sentenced him to a period of ninety (90) days in Sarpy County Jail subject to a purge plan. The district court denied Appellant’s motion to reconsider and denied his application to proceed in forma pauperis. On its own motion, the Nebraska Supreme Court ordered this case to be transferred from the docket of the Nebraska Court of Appeals to its docket.
Issues: Appellant assigns the following errors: 1) The trial court abused its discretion and failed to act as a fair and impartial arbiter; 2) The trial court abused its discretion by finding willful contempt for non-payment of the equalization payment; 3) The trial court abused its discretion by imposing an impossible purge condition and an improper punitive sanction affecting parenting time; 4) The trial court abused its discretion in denying Appellant's application to proceed in forma pauperis; 5) The trial court abused its discretion by finding contempt regarding parental communications and medical bills; and 6) The trial court abused its discretion in awarding attorney's fees to Appellee.
