Nebraska Trial Court Week 2026 Draws to Conclusion

Nebraska Trial Court Week is set aside to highlight the critical role of Nebraska’s dedicated trial court judges, court clerks and administrators, official court reporters and court staff who comprise the Nebraska state trial courts. Commemoration of this year’s celebration took a unique spin, moving from the Capitol to the Custer County Judicial Center and capping off the first day of the 2026 Supreme Court Summer Tour.

In opening remarks, State Court Administrator Corey Steel noted about court staff, “Not a day goes by that I am not impressed by the way you meet the challenges of your work. One of the greatest privileges of my position is having the opportunity to recognize and highlight all that you do to all those I interact with.”

Custer County Clerk of the District Court Amy Oxford and Clerk Magistrate Deb Hansen welcomed those in attendance and received the proclamation certificates from Chief Justice Jeffrey Funke on behalf of court staff statewide.
