Judicial Branch Education has chosen Leah Cech to serve as the Director of Court Education, effective March 9, 2026. This position supports a team providing training and ongoing education, onboarding, and outreach for all Nebraska court staff.

Cech began her work with the Nebraska Judicial Branch in January 2024 as the Access to Justice Specialist, where she provided project management and coordination for the Nebraska Supreme Court’s Access to Justice Commission and its standing committees and work groups. Prior to this, Cech has held positions pertaining to university compliance, student support, research, and teaching in both staff and adjunct faculty roles at Doane University, along with several years of experience as an ESL (English as a Second Language) instructor. She holds a Ph.D. in Religious Studies from Claremont Graduate University (Claremont, CA). She brings a wealth of experience in project management, policy and curriculum development, facilitation, and team building.
