Building Connections: Hall County Court’s Family Fun Day

Building Connections: Hall County Court’s Family Fun Day

Hall County Court and community partners convened for their second “Meet the Judges” Family Fun Day event. The afternoon provided youth involved in the system with a welcoming experience inside the courthouse, including back-to-school supplies and a shopping spree giveaway for those in need.

For many of the young individuals served, the court environment can be intimidating. The purpose of this event was to help youth and families view the court not solely as a place where challenges are addressed, but as an institution committed to fostering meaningful, positive, and lasting changes within the family system. Attendees were given the opportunity to interact with individuals involved in their cases in a setting focused on support and encouragement. The event served as a reminder that the collective goal is to promote healing, trust, and safety.

This event was made possible through the collaboration of the Courts, Probation, the Department of Health and Human Services, law enforcement, CASA, attorneys, community organizations that work with families, and other local partners who help bridge the gap between families and the court.
