Sue Kissinger Named Chief Probation Officer for District 10

Sue Kissinger, Chief Deputy Probation Officer in District 10, has been selected as Chief Probation Officer for District 10, consisting of Adams, Clay, Nuckolls, Webster, Kearney, Phelps, Harlan and Franklin Counties.  Sue will begin her new role on November 1, 2025.

Sue earned her Bachelor of Science in Social Work from the University of Nebraska. She began her career with Probation in 1985, serving as a Probation Officer in both Districts 5 and 10 until 1995, when she became an Intensive Supervision Probation (ISP) Officer in District 10. Sue was promoted to ISP Coordinator in 1996, a position she held until 2008, when she was appointed Chief Deputy in Districts 9 and 10. Since 2012, Sue has served as Chief Deputy in District 10.

Throughout her 40-year career in Probation, Sue has demonstrated exceptional leadership, dedication, and commitment to public service. Her extensive experience and deep understanding of community supervision will serve District 10 and the Nebraska Probation System well in her new leadership role.  Sue adds, “I am excited and honored to be selected to lead this team of talented Probation professionals.  I have grown up in this community and will continue to foster relationships, empower individuals and strengthen partnerships that support and enhance it.  I believe that people are born inherently good and deserve a second chance.”
