Nebraska Judicial Branch Announces Joel Rabe as Chief Information Officer
Joel Rabe has been named as the Administrative Office of the Courts and Probation Chief Information Officer (CIO).
Rabe previously served as Senior Manager, Core IT Operations at Landmark Health, part of UnitedHealth Group, where he oversaw all aspects of core infrastructure, security operations, and data center management. During his tenure, he was recognized for stabilizing the organization’s core IT operations and significantly improving departmental efficiency. Before that, he spent nearly a decade with Valmont Industries, supporting the global design, build, configuration, and integration of servers and networking equipment across multiple international locations.
The IT Division is responsible for the overall vision, mission, goals, and objectives for information technology and network systems for the state’s Judicial Branch. The Information Technology Division is responsible for the technological support of the Branch, in addition to application development for court and probation case management systems. The division works to continually improve services including eFiling for courts, ePayment for services and fees, online calendars, and court case information searches.
Remarking on his new role, Rabe noted, “I am deeply honored to join the Nebraska Judicial Branch as Chief Information Officer. Technology is no longer just a support function; it is a driving force for organizational success. I look forward to collaborating with the team to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our IT systems statewide.”
Rabe will begin his role as the CIO with the branch on June 1.
