Judicial Resources Commission Hearing May 1

The Judicial Resources Commission will hold a public hearing on Friday, May 1, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. CST, in the Supreme Court Courtroom, State Capitol Building, in Lincoln, Nebraska, to discuss:

  1. Current issues involving judicial vacancies

The Commission will receive testimony, both in person and in writing.  Those wishing to present testimony during the public hearing may do so by:

  1. Oral public testimony may be presented in person during the public hearing in the Supreme Court Courtroom, State Capitol, Lincoln, Nebraska.
  2. Written public testimony should be mailed to the Commission Chair at the following address: Justice John R. Freudenberg, Nebraska Supreme Court, PO Box 98910, Lincoln, NE 68509, or emailed to ashley.jenkins@nejudicial.gov. To be considered by the Commission, any written public testimony must be received no later than April 29, 2026.  All written public testimony submitted by the deadline will be marked as an exhibit, received at the hearing, and made available to the public.

Members of the public have the option of attending the proceedings in person at the State Capitol or watching the live stream proceedings from Nebraska Public Media's Live & On Demand: State Government website.
