County Court Judge Ross A. Stoffer to Retire October 31, 2026
County Court Judge for the Seventh Judicial District, Ross A. Stoffer, is retiring October 31, 2026.
In his retirement announcement to Governor Pillen, Judge Stoffer said, “It has been my privilege to serve the people of the Seventh District for the past 20 years. During this time, I have served with many outstanding Judges, Clerk Magistrates and court staff, attorneys, and individuals from all walks of life.”
Judge Stoffer has served the citizens of the Seventh Judicial District from 2006 to his upcoming retirement in 2026. After taking the bench in 2006, area voters retained Judge Stoffer in his position, most recently in 2022.
The first step in replacing Judge Stoffer will be for the Judicial Resources Commission to call a meeting to determine whether, based on judicial workload statistics, his retirement creates a judicial vacancy in the County Court for the Seventh Judicial District
