Colfax County Clerk Magistrate Ellen Faltys recently submitted her notice of retirement, effective April 30, 2026, after just over forty years of service to the Judicial Branch. Throughout her distinguished career, Ellen was an integral member of the Procedure Manual Specialists and contributed her expertise to numerous sub‑committees within the County Court Association, including the Education Committee, the Clerk Magistrate Orientation Committee, and the Communications Group.

“On behalf of the State of Nebraska, and its judicial branch, I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to Ellen Faltys. Her selfless dedication to the courts, and the citizens they serve, is a model for others to aspire,” noted County Court Judge Andrew Lange. He continued, “Ellen's institutional knowledge will be sorely missed, but not nearly as much as her daily friendship.”
