Rule 9-15. Protocol for Virtual Hearings in the Ninth Judicial DistrictA. Telephonic/virtual hearings will be available for non-testimonial proceedings based upon the sole discretion of each District Judge within their courtroom. Requests to participate by virtual proceedings shall be made to the Bailiff/Courtroom Clerk at least 48 hours in advance of the hearing. Each party appearing via WebEx, Zoom, or other video/telephone conference platform will need to be logged in 5 minutes in advance of the hearing.
B. If exhibits are to be offered at a virtual hearing, the exhibits must be provided electronically to the court, court reporter, and all opposing parties not less than 24 hours prior to the hearing, unless otherwise ordered by the court.
C. If the sound and/or video quality is insufficient or the internet connection is insufficient or unavailable, the court will require the hearing to be continued and the parties to appear in person.
